                            Interfaces

Interfaces let you build custom, easy-to-use apps on top of your base data. Instead of giving everyone access to the full base with all its tables, views, and configuration options, you design focused pages that surface exactly the data and actions each audience needs: a review queue for approvers, a dashboard for leadership, a form for field teams, or a full internal tool that combines all of them. Your base remains the single source of truth; what changes is how each group experiences it. Interfaces (beta) are available on NocoDB Cloud (Plus plan and above) and licensed self-hosted deployments (Business plan and above).

                            Learn more about Interfaces โ†’

                            Improvements & Fixes

                              * Dynamic conditions in Record-Level Security. A policy can now reference whoever is viewing the data, such as the current user, their email, or their teams, so a single policy like "Assignee is the current user" covers the whole workspace. Policies can also filter on system fields such as Created by and Last modified by. Available on NocoDB Cloud (Scale plan and above) and self-hosted Scale and Enterprise plans. Learn more โ†’
                              * New WEEKNUM formula function. WEEKNUM(date, [startDayOfWeek]) returns the week of the year a date falls in, matching how spreadsheets calculate it. Weeks start on Sunday by default, and an optional second argument picks a different first day of the week. Learn more โ†’
                              * Select a range of rows with Shift+click. Hold Shift while clicking a row's checkbox in the grid to select every row between it and the last row you clicked, the same way spreadsheets work.
                              * v3 link updates stay scoped to the requested records. Updating a link field through the v3 records API no longer removes those linked records from other rows.
                              * Delete select options by title in API v3. The field options delete endpoint now accepts option titles instead of ids and ignores titles that do not exist. Update existing v3 integrations accordingly.
                              * Behaviour change in API v1: user updates no longer change workspace access. PATCH /api/v1/users/{userId} no longer changes default workspace access. To grant access to a specific base, use POST /api/v3/meta/bases/{baseId}/members with { email, base_role }. To allow base creation and workspace-wide access, use POST /api/v3/meta/workspaces/{workspaceId}/members with { email, workspace_role }.
                              * Grouped views stay put while editing. Grids grouped by a link, user, JSON, or attachment field no longer blank out and reload on every cell edit.
                              * No more duplicate rows while scrolling. When a record dropped out of a filtered or sorted grid, an in-flight fetch could render it a second time further down the view.
                              * Duplicating a record no longer moves linked records. Copying every link verbatim could silently detach has-many and one-to-one linked records from the original. These links are now skipped on the copy, with a notice listing the fields that were not carried over.
                              * Faster views with QR codes. QR code cells no longer generate full-size codes for every row, which could freeze views with many records.
                              * Snapshot reliability. Snapshots now work on bases with restricted permissions and in workspaces that have reached their base limit.
                              * Smart Text fixes. A failed initial load no longer lets autosave clear the cell's content, Backspace works again in the expanded editor, and tables show persistent bars for adding rows and columns.
                              * Rollup fields validate their target. Creating a rollup over a field that cannot be aggregated, such as a Link, Lookup, or Button field, is rejected with a clear error instead of breaking every read of the table.
                              * Server-side scripts create records with data. createRecordsAsync in scripts run by workflows and automations no longer creates blank records.
                              * Image viewer works in forms. Opening an image attachment from a form no longer throws an error.
                              * List views load on external data sources on NocoDB Cloud.
                              * Postgres imports keep auto-increment in sync. After importing or migrating a base into Postgres, creating the first record no longer fails with a duplicate-key error.
                              * SQLite schema changes with indexes. Deleting or modifying an indexed field on a connected SQLite database no longer fails.
                              * Sandbox feedback. Creating a sandbox now confirms with a message instead of silently switching you over, and creating a document, which a sandbox does not support, is disabled with an explanation rather than failing on click.
                              * Tidier field visibility controls. The fields panel in table details now uses an eye toggle to show or hide fields in the current view.
                              * Assorted stability fixes. Right-clicking empty space on a Kanban board no longer shows another card's actions, and several crashes in select cells and the canvas grid were fixed.

                            Security

                              * Input handling. Stronger validation of filter expressions, redirect targets, connection configurations, and OAuth parameters across the platform.
                              * Data access controls. Public share links, exports, and nested data now consistently honour view filters and hidden fields, and record-level security conditions are applied uniformly across data, realtime, and cached paths.
                              * Authentication and sessions. Hardened session token rotation and OAuth authorization flows, and sign-in via identity providers now honours the provider's email verification status.
                              * Embedding protection. NocoDB pages now send frame-protection headers, so only public share links can be embedded in other sites.
                              * Dependency updates. Dependencies were updated against recently published advisories.

                            Self-Hosting

                              * Change your license plan yourself. Each license under Account โ†’ Self-hosted licenses on nocodb.com gets a detail page with its plan, billing period, editor count, renewal date, and invoices, plus a Change plan flow. Upgrades apply immediately with prorated billing; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period and can be reverted until then. Learn more โ†’
                              * Hide paid features on unlicensed instances. A new Show only community edition features preference under Account โ†’ Profile hides paid feature badges, upgrade prompts, and controls that only lead to an upgrade screen, so an instance running without a license shows just what it can actually do. The option appears only on unlicensed self-hosted instances.
                              * New configuration options. Three NC_AI_* variables tune the AI assistant's token budgets: NC_AI_TURN_TOKEN_BUDGET, NC_AI_INRUN_MICROCOMPACT_MIN_TOKENS, and NC_AI_TOOL_OUTPUT_SPILL_MAX_ENTRIES. Learn more โ†’

                              Calendar Sync

Calendar Sync brings events from Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, or any CalDAV server (Apple iCloud, Fastmail, Nextcloud, and others) into NocoDB as a read-only Event table that stays up to date on its own. Pick a calendar and a date window from the new Calendar category in the App Sync wizard; NocoDB syncs the event details and sets up a colour-coded Calendar view on the first sync. Available on NocoDB Cloud (Plus plan and above) and licensed self-hosted deployments (Business plan and above).

                              Image Annotations

Image annotations let a comment point at an exact spot on an image instead of describing it in words. Open an image in the attachment viewer, drop a pin or drag a rectangle, and leave your comment; annotations are labelled, and replies thread underneath. Available on all NocoDB Cloud plans and licensed self-hosted deployments.

                              Workflow Comment Trigger

When comment changes is a new workflow trigger that runs a workflow when a comment is added, edited, deleted, resolved, or reopened on a record. Narrow it to specific comment events or to comments that mention particular people, and use the comment, its author, and mentions in later steps. Available on all NocoDB Cloud plans and licensed self-hosted deployments (Business plan and above).

                              Improvements & Fixes

                                * Attach files to comments. Comments now take images and files, added from the file picker, pasted straight in, or dropped onto the composer. Available on NocoDB Cloud (Plus plan and above) and licensed self-hosted deployments (Business plan and above). Learn more โ†’
                                * Trigger webhooks from comments. Webhooks can now fire when a comment is added, edited, deleted, resolved, or reopened, and can be narrowed to comments that mention a particular person or exclude comments posted by your own integrations. Learn more โ†’
                                * Checksum formulas. New MD5(), SHA256(), and SHA512() functions compute a hash of any value, useful for checksums and spotting changed records. Available on PostgreSQL and MySQL. Learn more โ†’
                                * Localized date formatting in formulas. A new DATETIME_FORMAT() function formats a date or datetime into text, including the localized LL, LLL, and LLLL presets. Learn more โ†’
                                * Sort and limit Lookup values. A Lookup field can now sort the values it pulls in and show only the first or last few, instead of every linked value. Available on PostgreSQL, on NocoDB Cloud (Plus plan and above) and licensed self-hosted deployments (Business plan and above). Learn more โ†’
                                * Persian (Jalali) calendar. Date and DateTime fields can display and accept dates in the Jalali calendar by picking one of the new Jalali date formats; values are still stored as standard dates underneath. Learn more โ†’
                                * Export a calendar as .ics. Calendar views can be downloaded as an iCalendar (.ics) file and opened in any calendar app. Learn more โ†’
                                * Custom calendar timescale. Alongside day, week, and month, calendars now offer a Custom mode that shows any number of days or weeks from one to six. Learn more โ†’
                                * Event themes for calendars. Choose how event chips look with five themes, Bordered, Dot, Solid, Minimal, and Pill, set per view from the calendar toolbar. Available on NocoDB Cloud paid plans and licensed self-hosted deployments. Learn more โ†’
                                * Calendar views on mobile. Calendar views now render and navigate properly on phones, with a compact toolbar and a record sidebar for busy days.
                                * Skip sheets when importing Excel. Multi-sheet workbooks now let you untick the sheets you don't want before importing, rather than importing everything and cleaning up after.
                                * Create new fields while importing. When importing into an existing table, unmatched columns can be mapped to a brand new field instead of only to existing fields or dropped.
                                * Longer comments. The comment length limit was raised from 3,000 to 10,000 characters.
                                * Lookup fields as form conditions. A form field's "Show on conditions" rule can now be driven by a Lookup field, so a question can appear based on data from the linked record the respondent picks. Learn more โ†’
                                * Field descriptions in the expanded record. Fields with a description now show an info icon in the expanded record and in shared views; hover it to read the description.
                                * Unpadded dates are no longer dropped. Typing or pasting a date like 5/5/2026 into a MM/DD/YYYY field is now accepted and normalised, where before it was silently discarded and could clear an existing value.
                                * Alphabetized multi-select values. With "Alphabetize" enabled, the values stored in a Multi Select cell are now kept in alphabetical order, not just the option list. Existing records are re-sorted the next time they are saved.

                              Security

                                * Network access. Tighter controls over how NocoDB connects to external resources.
                                * Data access controls. Reinforced protections that keep information visible only to those authorised to see it.
                                * Input handling. More robust validation throughout the platform.

                              Self-Hosting

                                * On-prem plans resolve from the license itself. The plan for a self-hosted deployment is now derived from the signed license type rather than optional metadata, so each install gets exactly the tier it is licensed for. Deployments activated through a marketplace, an admin-issued key, or a legacy key without that metadata could previously fall back to Enterprise features they were not licensed for and will now resolve to their actual plan. Expired legacy Enterprise trial licenses no longer grant Enterprise features. This release ships a database migration to record the license type on existing plans.
                                * Expired trials no longer lock you out. When an Enterprise trial expires, the instance now falls back to Community behaviour with paid features gated, instead of covering the interface with a full-screen blocking overlay.
                                * Email and password sign-up alongside SSO. With "Allow email & password sign-in alongside SSO" enabled, invited users can now set a password from the sign-up page, not just the sign-in page.
                                * Lighter image processing. Attachment dimensions are now read straight from image headers instead of decoding the full image, so uploads are quicker and gentler on the server.
                                * New configuration options. NC_ALLOW_LOCAL_DATA_IMPORT opts in to importing from local or private hosts, and a set of NC_AI_* options tune the AI chat's record and token budgets. Learn more โ†’
                                * Reliability improvements. Permanently deleting records now handles formula and link fields whose configuration was already cleaned up, and an unreachable external data source no longer floods the logs while re-validating formulas.

                              Deprecation Notice

As announced in 2026.06.1, this release no longer publishes pre-built executables. If you currently run NocoDB from an executable, switch to Docker or another supported installation method to keep receiving updates.

                                Oracle Database Support

Oracle Database joins PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server as a connectable external data source. Connect an existing Oracle database and work with its tables through NocoDB's grids, views, fields, formulas, links, lookups, aggregations, and charts. Available as an add-on for Enterprise customers; reach out to the support team (support@nocodb.com) to enable it.

                                Improvements & Fixes

                                  * A more readable calendar. Switch cards between Compact and Expanded record heights, see several fields per card in Week view, and collapse or hide weekends straight from the calendar's view mode dropdown. Learn more โ†’
                                  * Circular progress for Percent fields. Percent fields can now render their progress as a Circle as well as the existing Bar, set from the field's "Progress bar shape" option. Learn more โ†’
                                  * Formatting options for Lookup fields. When a Lookup resolves to a number or a date, a new Formatting tab lets you set its display format (decimal, currency, percent, or date, datetime, time) independently of the source field, and it applies everywhere the lookup appears. Learn more โ†’
                                  * Smarter sorting. Toggle individual sort conditions on or off without deleting them, and drag to reorder your sort fields. Learn more โ†’
                                  * Gantt milestone guide lines and group toggles. Milestones now drop a dashed guide line up to the date header so they're easy to place at a glance, group-bys can be switched off and back on without losing their configuration, and formula fields that produce a URL render as clickable links in the sidebar. Learn more โ†’
                                  * More layout control in Page Designer. The Page Designer extension now supports a custom page size with your own width and height, and you can keep several named designs in one place and switch, duplicate, or rename them. Learn more โ†’
                                  * Weekday-prefixed date formats. New date display formats prefix the day of the week (for example "Wednesday 2026-06-10" or "Wed 10/06/2026") in cells and grid group headers, available for ISO, European, and US base formats. Learn more โ†’
                                  * Forms remember in-progress answers. Public shared forms now save what a respondent has typed to their own browser, so a refresh or accidental navigation no longer wipes a half-completed form. The draft clears on submit. Learn more โ†’
                                  * Email form responses to any base collaborator. The form's notification setting now lets you pick which base collaborators receive an email on each submission, not just the form owner. Learn more โ†’
                                  * Linked-record exports are complete. CSV, Excel, and JSON exports now include all linked records in a Links or Lookup cell.

                                Security

                                  * OAuth and authentication hardening. OAuth refresh-token rotation is now strictly single-use under concurrent requests, access tokens can no longer be presented as session tokens, and the public OAuth client endpoint no longer returns sensitive material.
                                  * Protection against server-side request forgery. External database connections now validate the connection host before connecting on all editions, blocking attempts to reach internal network addresses.
                                  * Resource-exhaustion safeguards. Outgoing webhook request and response bodies, image thumbnail input sizes, and formula string output are now capped so oversized payloads and images can no longer exhaust memory and crash workers.
                                  * Stored cross-site scripting fix. Field names shown in the AI prompt tooltip are now rendered as plain text, so a crafted field name can no longer execute script.

                                  * Production-grade Helm chart. The Kubernetes chart was rewritten from the ground up for high availability: separate app and worker deployments each with their own autoscaling, external PostgreSQL and Redis with secret support, pod disruption budgets and anti-affinity, and sensible default resource requests of 1 vCPU and 2Gi per pod. Attachment storage is now configured in the app rather than through chart environment variables. Learn more about deploying on Kubernetes โ†’
                                  * Faster base and grid loads. Many internal read requests issued when opening a base or loading a grid are now coalesced into a single batched request, cutting round-trips on bases with lots of Links and Lookup fields.
                                  * Email and password sign-in alongside SSO. Self-hosted deployments can now show the email and password form next to SSO on the sign-in page, instead of SSO replacing it entirely, with a new "Allow email & password sign-in alongside SSO" admin setting. Learn more โ†’
                                  * Password reset works behind a sub-path. The reset-password page now derives its base URL from your site URL, so password reset links work under sub-path and reverse-proxy deployments.
                                  * New configuration options. NC_WEBHOOK_MAX_BODY_SIZE (default 10 MB) caps webhook payload size, NC_THUMBNAIL_MAX_INPUT_PIXELS (default 24 MP) and NC_THUMBNAIL_MAX_INPUT_PIXELS_SHRINKABLE (default 100 MP) bound thumbnail generation, and NC_FORMULA_MAX_OUTPUT_LENGTH caps formula string output. Custom Sync

Custom Sync mirrors tables from your existing PostgreSQL or MySQL database into NocoDB as read-only synced tables that stay up to date with their source, giving business teams a friendly interface over production data without migrations or export scripts. Pick the tables, fine-tune how each column maps to NocoDB field types, and refresh manually or on a schedule with full or incremental runs. Available on the Business plan and above, on both NocoDB Cloud and self-hosted deployments.

                                  Scale Plan on NocoDB Cloud

Scale is a new NocoDB Cloud plan between Business and Enterprise, bringing governance features to a self-serve plan. It unlocks unlimited workspaces, Row-Level Security, workspace audit logs, and trash retention settings, plus substantially higher limits across records, storage, API calls, automation runs, and retention.

                                  White-Label

White-Label rebrands your entire NocoDB deployment as your own product. Set your product name, logos, favicon, and brand colour from the new White Label tab in the Admin Panel, and the branding carries through the sign-in page, public forms, shared views, and transactional emails. Available as an add-on for Enterprise customers on self-hosted deployments; reach out to the support team (support@nocodb.com) to enable it.

Microsoft SQL Server joins PostgreSQL and MySQL as a connectable database in NocoDB. Connect it as an external data source and work with it through grids, views, and fields, or use it as a Custom Sync source to mirror tables into your base. Available as an add-on for Enterprise customers; reach out to the support team (support@nocodb.com) to enable it.

                                  Improvements & Fixes

                                    * Real-time collaboration in NocoDocs. Multiple people can now edit the same page at once: named cursors, presence avatars, automatic conflict-free merging, and offline edits that reconcile on reconnect. Learn more โ†’
                                    * Turn text into linked records. Convert a Single line text field into a Links field; cell values are matched to related records by display value, conversions work in both directions and are undoable, and file imports can now map columns directly to Links fields.
                                    * Calendar 3 Days view. A new layout between Day and Week keeps the next few days in one focused frame, with records ordered by scheduled time and drag-and-drop rescheduling.
                                    * Web bookmarks in NocoDocs. A new /web bookmark block turns any link into a rich visual card with the page's title, description, and preview image. Learn more โ†’
                                    * Much faster form building on large forms. Editing forms with 100+ fields is dramatically smoother: switching between fields dropped from roughly 550ms to 40ms, and typing latency fell from roughly 380ms to 90ms.
                                    * Grid views remember where you left off. Returning to a view restores your previous scroll position instead of jumping back to the top.
                                    * Select up to 1,000 rows at once. The multi-cell selection limit for copy, paste, and fill operations was raised from 100 to 1,000 rows.
                                    * Unlimited filters on paid plans. The 50-filter cap per view, which also limited form field conditions, is removed on all paid NocoDB Cloud plans.
                                    * Text filters now default to "is like". New filters on text, email, URL, and phone fields start with a contains-style match instead of an exact match.
                                    * On this page navigation in NocoDocs. A subtle heading rail in the page margin shows your position; hover to open the outline and jump to any heading. Works on shared documents too.
                                    * Cover image repositioning and fullscreen images in NocoDocs. Drag cover banners to reframe them, and open document images in a fullscreen carousel.
                                    * Safer sync deletion. Deleting a sync now asks whether to convert the synced tables into plain editable tables or delete them along with the sync.
                                    * Hide blank fields catches empty links. The expanded record's hide-blank toggle now also hides Links fields with no linked records.
                                    * Copying URL formulas keeps the link. Copying a formula cell that produces a link now pastes as a usable link instead of raw formula syntax.
                                    * Lookup attachment downloads fixed. Attachments surfaced through Lookup fields download reliably again, and nested lookups render as a proper attachment strip.
                                    * Filter values are no longer truncated. Editing a filter with many selected options no longer silently drops values beyond 255 characters.
                                    * Import progress survives a refresh. Background jobs such as imports keep reporting progress after you reload the page.
                                    * Photos display the right way up. Attachment thumbnails now respect EXIF orientation, so portrait photos no longer render sideways.
                                    * Smoother SSO sign-in. Signing in through SSO no longer occasionally logs you straight back out.

                                  Security

                                    * Row-Level Security now applies to base owners. Previously, base owners saw all records regardless of RLS policies. Owners are now filtered like every other role on all data queries, while policy management remains owner-only. If your workflows relied on owners seeing everything, review your policies after upgrading.
                                    * Hardened publicly shared content. Shared bases no longer expose audit information, shared view requests can no longer reference hidden fields through filters or aggregations, and form redirect URLs are strictly validated.
                                    * CSV exports protect against spreadsheet formula injection. Exported values that could be interpreted as formulas by spreadsheet applications are now escaped.
                                    * Stronger safeguards for external database connections. Connection details are validated at connect time, and API responses no longer include sensitive account material.

                                  Self-Hosting

                                    * Leaner, cleaner Docker images. Published images were rebuilt to remediate all known critical and high severity dependency vulnerabilities, and the on-prem image is roughly half its previous size.
                                    * Revamped installer and compose examples. The install script was overhauled and the Docker Compose examples reorganized, with new quickstart, Traefik custom-SSL, private-CA PostgreSQL, and managed-PostgreSQL examples.
                                    * New configuration options. NC_DOCS_REALTIME=false disables the new document collaboration layer, NC_GRID_MAX_SELECTION_LIMIT tunes the grid selection cap, and NC_DISABLE_DB_SSL_FILE_PATHS=true rejects file-path SSL certificate references in external database connections.
                                    * Better multi-node efficiency. Redis pub/sub connections are now multiplexed through a single listener, reducing overhead on busy multi-instance deployments.

                                  Deprecation Notice

This is the last release to ship pre-built executables. Executables are deprecated and will no longer be published from the next release onwards. If you currently run NocoDB from an executable, switch to Docker or another supported installation method to keep receiving updates.

                                    NocoDB Sync

NocoDB Sync mirrors a shared view from one NocoDB base into another as a synced table that always stays up to date with its source. Whether you're rolling several team bases into a single reporting hub, feeding a downstream workflow from a single source of truth, or sharing a curated slice of data without handing over the original, NocoDB Sync keeps both sides in step without any manual copying. Existing integration-based syncs are now grouped under App Sync.

                                    Document Version History

Version History automatically saves every edit to a NocoDocs page, so nothing you write is ever truly lost. Whether you're recovering a section you deleted yesterday, tracing how a shared document evolved, or rolling back an unwanted change, you can revisit any earlier version, see exactly what changed, and restore it in a single click. Viewers can browse the full history while editors can restore, and how far back it reaches depends on your plan, from 3 days on Free up to a full year on Enterprise.

                                    Calendar Multi-Week Views

Calendar view gains two new layouts between its week and month options, 2 Weeks and 6 Weeks, so you can frame exactly the window you're planning around. Whether you're mapping out a two-week sprint, lining up a six-week content calendar, or simply wanting more context than a single week without the sprawl of a full month, these layouts let you see the right slice of time at a glance. Your chosen layout is remembered per view, so each calendar opens the way you left it.

                                    Group Toggle

Each grouping now has a checkbox, so you can switch a group-by off without deleting it and turn it back on later with the same configuration intact. It's handy for temporarily flattening a view or comparing grouped and ungrouped layouts without rebuilding the setup.

                                    Improvements & Fixes

                                      * Bulk actions on multiple fields. Shift-click or Cmd/Ctrl-click grid column headers to select several fields at once, then hide, delete, group by, or filter by all of them together in a single step instead of repeating the change field by field.
                                      * Duplicate a record from the grid. Right-click any row to create a copy of it in place.
                                      * Sort select-field options alphabetically. A persistent A to Z toggle orders the choices in a Single or Multi Select field and keeps that order as you work.
                                      * AutoNumber can be a table's display value. AutoNumber fields are now eligible to act as the primary display column.
                                      * Tidier toolbar on narrow screens. When space is tight, view search collapses to a single icon instead of crowding the toolbar.
                                      * Link and User fields render correctly in emails. Form-submission and record emails now show linked records and user fields properly instead of placeholder text.
                                      * More reliable webhooks. Webhooks scoped to specific trigger fields no longer get silently skipped when the changed columns can't be determined, and a POST, PUT, or PATCH webhook with an empty body is now flagged as an error in the hook log instead of appearing to succeed.
                                      * Safer schema sync. Syncing schema no longer drops links or relations when a related table has no primary key, and user-set primary keys are preserved across schema changes.

                                    API Updates

                                      * Timeline and Gantt views via the V3 API. You can now create and update Timeline and Gantt views through the V3 REST API, including their date-dependency options.
                                      * Number separator option in the V3 API. Number, Decimal, and Rollup fields now expose their separator setting (comma, period, and space styles) through the V3 API and Scripts.
                                      * Reliable attachment uploads via the V3 API. Attaching files through the V3 API, whether by base64 content or by URL, now follows the correct file-reference flow so the upload is stored and linked properly.

                                    Self-Hosting Notes

                                      * SQLite as an external data source is now limited to the free self-hosted edition. It remains selectable on Community Edition and unlicensed self-hosted instances, and is blocked on licensed self-hosted and on Cloud. No configuration change is required.
                                      * New database migrations ship in this release (group-by toggle state, document version-history tables, and a wider revision-id column). They apply automatically on upgrade, and the single-query cache is invalidated automatically when the version changes.
                                      * Dependency security batch. This release clears the remaining batch of dependency security advisories across the stack, pinning packages including express-rate-limit and path-to-regexp, with no changes to public APIs.

                                      Gantt View

Gantt View turns any date-based table into a live project schedule: records become draggable bars, dependencies become arrows, and key dates become milestone diamonds. Whether you're planning a product launch, mapping a roadmap, or coordinating project phases, it shows what runs when and what blocks what. Drag to reschedule, link tasks from a bar's handle, and zoom from a one-week sprint out to a five-year roadmap.

                                      Shared Pages

You can now publicly share a NocoDocs page as a read-only link that anyone can open in a browser, no NocoDB account required. Whether you're sharing product docs, a project brief, or an internal wiki, you can take a document straight from the editor to a shareable URL, or embed it elsewhere with an iframe snippet. Switch the toggle off to revoke the link in seconds.

Expanded Record Side Panel in Community Edition

The Expanded Record Side Panel, introduced in 2026.05.1, now ships in Community Edition. Opening a record docks it to the right of the grid instead of a full-screen modal, so your data stays in view while you edit fields, read comments, or scan revision history. It's the default desktop layout across all editions; public and shared views still open as a centered modal.

                                      Account Security

                                        * One active session per account. Signing in on a new device or browser signs out the previous session, across every sign-in path including SSO. On by default in all editions; API tokens are unaffected.
                                        * Workspace 2FA now covers owners. Owners are no longer exempt from workspace-wide 2FA enforcement, so on Enterprise workspaces that require 2FA, owners are prompted to enroll before continuing.

                                      Improvements & Fixes

                                        * Search and hide blank fields in an expanded record. In an expanded record you can now search for any field or value, useful when you have lots of fields. Plus the ability to hide blank fields too.
                                        * Pinned filters for date fields. Date, DateTime, Created time, and Last modified time fields can now be pinned to the toolbar as compact pills (exact date, days ago, past N days).
                                        * Dashboard chart color palettes. On Cloud dashboards, bar, line, pie, donut, and scatter widgets gain a palette picker, and gauges get a full color picker for range colors.
                                        * Arrow keys step numeric form fields. Up and Down arrows now increment and decrement Integer, Decimal, and Percent fields in forms, matching how Currency already behaved.
                                        * AutoNumber on empty tables. Adding an AutoNumber field to an empty table no longer throws an error; the sequence initializes correctly.
                                        * Row coloring persists across view switches. A row-color condition's value is now retained when you switch views instead of resetting.
                                        * Junction tables excluded from the table limit. Hidden many-to-many link tables are no longer counted toward a base's table limit, restoring the intended number of user-visible tables.
                                        * Hidden required fields no longer fail silently. Hiding a required (NOT NULL) field now warns, flags it in the Fields menu, auto-expands hidden fields when adding a record, and shows a clear save error instead of dropping the row.
                                        * Calendar and date fields respect the column timezone. Drag, resize, and display on Calendar views no longer show the wrong offset for MySQL DateTime and timezone-configured columns.

                                      Self-Hosting Notes

                                        * If you were using NC_CONNECTION_ENCRYPT_KEY and 2FA, please do read. On instances running with NC_CONNECTION_ENCRYPT_KEY set, TOTP had issues while verifying the code due to the encrypt/decrypt round-trip, causing every 2FA verification to fail with "Invalid verification code". This is fixed. If you were using 2FA, you will need to disable and re-enroll. Note that 2FA only applies to email and password based logins, not to SSO.
                                        * Private-network access for databases and webhooks. SSRF protection is enforced by default. If your instance connects to a database or sends webhooks on a private or local network, you may need to opt in with the relevant environment variables (NC_ALLOW_LOCAL_EXTERNAL_DBS, NC_WEBHOOK_ALLOW_PRIVATE_NETWORK / NC_ALLOW_LOCAL_HOOKS), or disable SSRF filtering globally with NC_DISABLE_SSRF_PROTECTION. NocoDB Cloud always enforces SSRF protection.
                                        * Security dependency audit. This release clears a large batch of dependency security advisories across the stack (including axios, next, and mermaid) with no changes to public APIs.

                                        Bookmarks

Your work is scattered. Bookmarks bring it together.

The board you check every morning lives in one workspace. The sprint tracker is in another. A key document sits in NocoDocs, and the dashboard you report on is buried a few clicks deep somewhere else. Every switch costs time and focus.

Bookmarks are personal shortcuts to the things you use most. Pin a workspace, base, table, view, document, dashboard, workflow, or script, and reach it in one click from anywhere. Your bookmarks are private; teammates have their own.

Open the bookmark flyout from the dock on the far left. Group pins into folders, drag to reorder, and search when the list grows. Renames and colour changes sync automatically. Bookmarks to deleted or revoked items clear themselves, so your list stays clean on its own.

Bookmarks are available on the Plus plan and above on NocoDB Cloud, and on the Business plan and above on self-hosted.

                                        Smart Text Field

Long text holds notes. Smart text holds full documents.

A meeting recap wants headings and action items. A customer-call summary wants quotes, checklists, and links. A project brief wants callouts, references, and the occasional table. Today that content drifts out of NocoDB into a separate doc, breaking the link between a record and the story behind it.

Smart text is a new variant of the Long text field that turns each cell into a full document editor, powered by the same engine as NocoDocs. Toggle it on and every cell gains rich formatting, lists, tables, code blocks, math, callouts, file attachments, and embeds (YouTube, Loom, Figma, Google Docs, NocoDB shared views, and more). Type / for the full slash command menu.

Click a Smart text cell and a side panel slides in with the editor. Resize it, switch to fullscreen, walk through rows without closing, and copy a deep link straight to the cell. Download content as Markdown, HTML, or PDF.

The grid shows a compact markdown preview, so rows stay scannable. Open the expanded record to read the full document inline, with a click-through to a fullscreen modal.

Smart text is available on NocoDB Cloud (all plans) and on self-hosted paid plans (Business and above). Requires an internal NocoDB-managed PostgreSQL base.

                                        Mermaid Diagrams in NocoDocs

Write diagrams as text. NocoDocs draws the rest.

A request flow, a database schema, a release timeline, a decision tree: some ideas land faster as a diagram than as a paragraph. Until now, that meant drawing it elsewhere, exporting an image, and pasting it into the doc, where it went stale the next time someone needed to tweak an arrow.

Mermaid Diagrams render directly inside NocoDocs code blocks. Insert a code block, switch the language to Mermaid, and your source renders live as an SVG diagram. Flowcharts, sequence diagrams, ER diagrams, Gantt charts, and 10+ other diagram types are supported.

Each Mermaid block has three view modes (code, split, diagram) saved on the block itself, so every reader opens the doc with the view the author chose. Expand to fullscreen, download as SVG, and exports keep diagrams intact: HTML and PDF embed the rendered SVG; Markdown keeps the source as a ```mermaid fence, so GitHub and other Mermaid-compatible viewers render it for you.

Mermaid Diagrams are available on all plans, including Community Edition.

                                        Timeline View Enhancements

Some plans run a week. Others run five years. Timeline now scales to both.

Day-to-day and weekly planning have always worked well on Timeline. Anything longer-range pushed you to scroll, jump dates, or split the work across multiple views: a multi-year product roadmap, a five-year construction plan, a portfolio review across departments. None of them fit comfortably on a screen.

This release ships three Timeline upgrades:

                                          * Nine zoom levels, from a single day through to a five-year overview: Day, Week, 2 Weeks, Month, Quarter, 6 Months, Year, 2 Years, and 5 Years. At Year and above, the date header stacks year, quarter, and month tiers so you keep your bearings while seeing a wider span.
                                          * Smooth horizontal and vertical scrolling. Pan across time and records load progressively as you scroll, so you can browse months or years without jumping to a specific date. Vertical scrolling kicks in when a view has more record lanes than fit on screen.

Timeline View is available on the Business plan and above on NocoDB Cloud and on self-hosted.

                                        Selection-Scoped Field Summary

Whole-table totals have always been one click. Subset totals are now too.

The field summary footer is great when you want totals across every row. The moment you want totals for a subset, though, you had to add a filter, read the number, and remove the filter again. Last week's records. A single customer. Records in one region. Each one was a small detour.

Selection-Scoped Field Summary rescopes the footer to whatever you've selected: drag a range of cells, or tick row checkboxes, and the footer recomputes for just that selection. Clear it to return to full-table totals. The same applies per-group when the grid is grouped.

Selection-Scoped Field Summary is available on all plans, including Community Edition.

                                        Expanded Record Side Panel

A modal covers the grid. A side panel doesn't.

The expanded record now opens as a side panel by default, so the grid stays visible while you work on a single record. Switch between Fields, Comments, and Revision History in the panel header, or enter fullscreen for the original layout with File Preview and Discussion modes.

The expanded record side panel is available on all plans, including Community Edition.

                                        Self-Serve Self-Hosted Licensing

Self-hosting now goes paid without a sales call.

Activating a paid plan on a self-hosted instance used to mean talking to sales for every step: pricing, provisioning, key delivery. That makes sense for large rollouts. It adds days of friction for teams who just want to upgrade.

Business plan self-hosted licenses can now be purchased and activated end-to-end without sales involvement. Buy from your NocoDB Cloud account at Account โ†’ Self-Hosted Licenses, complete a Stripe checkout, and paste the resulting key into your instance at Admin Panel โ†’ License. Paid features unlock immediately.

Self-hosted license activation requires NocoDB to run on PostgreSQL. SQLite and MySQL deployments must migrate before activating a license.

                                          * Thousands and decimal separator styles on Number and Decimal fields. A new Thousands and decimal separators dropdown replaces the old US-only "Show thousands separator" toggle and offers five styles: Locale (viewer's browser/system), 1,000,000, 1.000.000, 1 000 000, and 1000000. Separators affect display only; the stored numeric value is unchanged, so sorting, filtering, formulas, and exports stay consistent. Learn more โ†’
                                          * Rollup precision setting retired. Rollup values now inherit the underlying numeric field's separator style, so number formatting has a single source of truth.

                                          Multi-Column Field Layout in Forms

Multi-Column Field Layout is available on the Plus plan and above on Cloud, and with Enterprise license on self-hosted.

Form fields have always stacked one per row. That works for short surveys, but on longer forms it stretches the page, splits up related inputs, and pushes respondents to drop off partway through what should have been a quick submission.

Multi-Column Field Layout lets you group related fields side-by-side in equal-width columns. Put first and last name on the same line, fit city, state, and zip into a single address block, or group any inputs that belong together, up to 5 fields per row.

To group fields, drag a field card onto another field's row in the form builder. Both snap to equal width and share the row. Long Text, Attachment, and JSON fields always occupy a full row, since their inputs are too tall or wide to share.

Your layout carries through to the shared form URL. On desktop, fields render exactly as configured; on mobile (under 768 px), rows collapse to a single column for readability.

Custom Display Value on Linked Records

Custom Display Value is available on the Plus plan and above on Cloud, and with Enterprise license on self-hosted.

Linked records have always shown the primary display value of the linked table, usually a name or title. That works until two contacts share a name, the finance team needs an account's external ID for reconciliation, or a support rep wants to see a customer's tier at a glance. The wrong column makes linked pills harder to scan and forces extra clicks to confirm context.

Custom Display Value lets you override the default on any Link to Another Record (LTAR) field, on a per-link basis. Pick the column that makes the most sense for that link: an email on Tasks โ†’ Owner, an external ID on Deals โ†’ Account, a tier on Tickets โ†’ Customer.

Your choice applies everywhere a linked record appears: cell pills in grid, gallery, and kanban; the link picker dropdown; expanded forms; calendar and timeline inline cards; map view tooltips; audit log entries for link and unlink events; and references in search, filter, sort, group-by, and formula. The setting is preserved across export, import, and base duplication.

                                          Multi-Field Link Picker Search, Restored

The link picker dropdown search now matches across multiple fields again. In 2026.04.0, search was scoped to the display value column only for reliability. With this release, broader field search returns, and the dropdown uses virtual scrolling with a chunked cache so it stays smooth on tables with thousands of linked records. Available across all plans.

                                          Improvements and Fixes

                                            * Timeline View now updates in realtime - Bars added, moved, or resized by another collaborator appear on your Timeline immediately, without a page refresh.

                                            * User cells in shared and public views - User fields now expose only the name and avatar on shared and public views. Email addresses are no longer included in the cell payload.
                                            * Form show-on-condition for V2 LTAR fields - Conditional show/hide rules on form fields now evaluate against the linked record's display value for V2 Link to Another Record fields, matching how the rule reads in the form builder.
                                            * Form view hides AutoNumber and UUID fields - Auto-generated identifier fields are now hidden in the Form fields panel, since they cannot be set by the form submitter.
                                            * Snapshot creation and restore - Fixed a missing date import that broke snapshot creation from base settings, tightened snapshot-name validation so snapshots restore cleanly, and the snapshot restore flow now sanitises derived base titles automatically.

                                          ๐Ÿš€ NocoDB : Feature Release

                                          PostgreSQL ENUM Support

PostgreSQL ENUM columns from external Postgres sources now show up as SingleSelect fields inside NocoDB. One of the most upvoted requests from the community (#4862), this closes a long-standing gap for teams who connect NocoDB to a Postgres database where ENUMs already define the allowed values.

Whether you're connecting NocoDB to an existing Postgres schema where ENUMs are the source of truth, building a hybrid stack where your application writes ENUM values and your team edits them in NocoDB, or simply wanting to enforce a fixed set of values closer to the data, ENUM columns now appear as proper select fields in NocoDB. Reads, writes, and round-trips stay type-safe, and the full set of allowed values is preserved end-to-end.

                                          What's supported

                                            * Read ENUM columns from any connected Postgres source โ€” they appear as SingleSelect fields with the database's labels as options.
                                            * Edit ENUM values from grid, gallery, kanban, and expanded record views; the dropdown is restricted to the column's defined labels.
                                            * Add, rename, and remove options from inside NocoDB โ€” changes apply directly to the underlying Postgres ENUM type.
                                            * When the same ENUM type is shared by multiple columns, NocoDB safely forks a new type for the column being edited so changes don't leak to other columns using the same ENUM.
                                            * Filter, sort, group, and search ENUM fields exactly like any other SingleSelect.

Note: PostgreSQL ENUMs map to SingleSelect only in this release. ENUM array columns and MultiSelect-backed ENUMs are not yet supported.

                                          Improvements and Fixes

                                            * Faster base load on large schemas - Bases with hundreds of tables now open noticeably faster, with table metadata streamed in as you scroll the sidebar.
                                            * CSV export honours active filters - Fixed an issue where exporting a filtered view would occasionally include rows hidden by the active filter set. Exports now match exactly what the view shows.
                                            * Shared Kanban views - Fixed an issue where shared Kanban views would fail to load when the stack-by column was hidden in the view.

                                          Issues closed
